The AFC East has been one of the better divisions in the past few years. The Bills are very good, the Dolphins made the playoffs, and the Patriots just missed out on the playoffs. But, my pick for the AFC East is not any of those three. Its the New York Jets.
The Jets started out hot this season, but due to QB inconsistency, they missed the playoffs. The Jets defense is young, and undoubtedly Top 5. They have a very good RB1(Breece Hall), and a very good WR1(Garrett Wilson). The weapons are there. All they are missing is an elite QB. As I am writing this, the Jets are in talks with the Packers about Aaron Rodgers. If they get Rodgers, they will have a very complete roster. To me, the Jets have a very clear path to the AFC East title if Rodgers comes.
Tua has not been able to stay healthy, and the Dolphins are not good without him. Mac Jones has not played good, and the Patriots are destined for a downfall. The only real competitor is the Bills. The only reason I'm picking the Jets over the Bills is because of tiebreaker. The Jets defense has shut down Josh Allen the last two times they played. Now, with a elite offense, they will be able to pull out the wins against the Bills. I think the Jets will end up with around 11 wins, which will be good enough to win the AFC East.
