Way-Too-Early Super Bowl 60 Prediction: Who comes out on top?

Every year, we see the same familiar faces in the AFC- Mahomes, Lamar, and Burrow- battling deep into January. But 2025 is going to be different. This is the year the Buffalo Bills finally get over the hump. I’m planting my flag early: Bills vs. Eagles in Super Bowl 60, with Buffalo finally bringing a Lombardi Trophy home to Western New York.
AFC
Let’s start with the AFC. The Bills have lived in the shadow of the Chiefs for years. Every time they’ve come close, Mahomes has been there to slam the door shut. But that door is starting to crack. Kansas City, for all their postseason success, showed real flaws in last year’s Super Bowl. Their offensive consistency disappeared for long stretches. Their receivers couldn’t separate. And their defense, elite all year, cracked under the brightest lights. This is Buffalo’s window- and Josh Allen is the guy to take full advantage.

I don’t buy the Ravens' hype, either. While Lamar Jackson is playing the most efficient football of his career, there’s nobody on that defense who’s built to stop Josh Allen. In a high-stakes shootout, Allen’s versatility- his ability to extend plays, use his legs, and thrive in chaos- makes him nearly impossible to contain. He’ll outduel Lamar, just like he’s going to outduel Mahomes. This season, the Bills will play smarter football around Allen, with a more balanced offense and better situational discipline. That’s the formula that finally gets them through the AFC.

NFC
Now, turning to the NFC, this might be the most wide-open field we’ve seen in years. And when I scan the conference, there’s only one team I trust from top to bottom - the Philadelphia Eagles. Everyone else has a major flaw. The Lions lost both of their coordinators, and in a division that’s getting tougher, I expect them to take a step back. The 49ers are always dangerous, but health has been their downfall season after season. I don’t see that suddenly changing. Green Bay is promising, but they still lack a true WR1 and haven’t proven they can win ugly games in January. The Commanders are exciting, but let’s not forget what the Eagles did to their defense in last year’s playoffs. They picked it apart with absolute ease.

Some might mention the Falcons or Rams. But the Falcons, while trending up, are still building around a second-year quarterback in Michael Penix Jr. That’s a tough ask when you're facing a battle-tested team like Philadelphia in the postseason. And the Rams? They’re getting older, and while Davante Adams is a great addition, it doesn’t fully replace what they lost in Cooper Kupp, especially on a roster that has some holes on defense.
The one sleeper I’ll acknowledge is Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield has had real poise in the playoffs over the last couple of years and has the weapons to give teams problems. But overall, the Eagles are just better than everyone else. Their offensive line is elite. Their front seven is nasty. They’ve been there before. They know what it takes.

Super Bowl 60 Prediction
And yet, even with all that, I’m picking the Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl 60.
Why? Because Josh Allen wants it more than anyone. The Eagles dominated last year’s Super Bowl, dismantling the Chiefs and leaving no doubt about who the best team in the league was. But this time, they’ll be facing an offense with a more balanced attack. Allen will use his legs to keep the Eagles’ defense off balance, take care of the football, and rise in clutch moments. It’ll be a close game, but in crunch time, the team with the best player usually comes out on top. And right now, that player is Josh Allen.

Who is your pick for Super Bowl 60?
Chiefs
Eagles
Bills
Ravens
