We are now midway through the NFL season, and so much is still in the air. Will the 49ers bounce back? Have the Eagles clamped the NFC? Who wins the AFC North? Are the Dolphins frauds? Can the Chiefs repeat? Despite all these questions, I will attempt to predict the 2024 NFL Playoffs. Here is how I have it going down:
WILD CARD WEEKEND:
My first matchup for Wild Card Weekend. is the Lions v Vikings. I think this will be a close low scoring game and the Lions will win by a field goal. Josh Dobbs will play well, but it ultimately won't be enough to get the Vikings to the Divisional Round.
In my second matchup, I have the three seed Niners downing the Cowboys in a game that will never be close. The Cowboys can just never find a way to beat the 49ers, and this game won't break that trend.
In my last NFC Wild Card matchup, I have the Seahawks beating the Saints in a low scoring game. The Seahawks defense will step up big time and get them to the divisional round.
In my first AFC Wild Card matchup, I have the two seed Jags ending the Bills season in a relatively high scoring game. Lawrence will put on a show and Josh Allen will not be able to keep up.
In my second matchup in the AFC Wild Card Weekend, I have the Chiefs handling business against the Browns and moving on to the divisional round. The game will be close, but Patrick Mahomes will come up big for the Chiefs in the 4th quarter.
In my last matchup for Wild Card Weekend, I have the Bengals putting an end to the Dolphins magical season. Joe Burrow will have one of his best playoff performances and Tua will not be able to match it.
DIVISIONAL ROUND:
In my first matchup of the divisional round, I have the Eagles ending the Seahawks season in a game that will leave the Seahawks questioning whether they need to get rid of Geno. Geno will have 3+ turnovers and the Eagles will go to the NFC Championship for the second year in a row.
In the second matchup of the divisional round, I have the 49ers putting an end to a magical season in Detroit. Goff and the offense will struggle in the second half, and this will lead to the 49ers going to the NFC Championship for the third year in a row.
In my first AFC matchup of the divisional round, I have the Ravens beating the Bengals in an intense game. The Bengals will be winning for almost the whole game, but Lamar will have a game winning drive with time expiring in the 4th quarter.
In an intense game between the Chiefs and Jags, I have Lawrence and the Jags coming out on top by 3. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will play extremely well, but the defense will not be able to stop Trevor Lawrence.
CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
In a rematch of the NFC Championship last year, I have the Eagles coming out victorious once again. The game will be closer, but Hurts and the Eagles offense will just demolish the 49ers defense.
In an interesting AFC Championship, I have the Ravens coming out on top and advancing to the Super Bowl. Lawrence will have a decent game, but it won't be enough to keep up with the dynamic Ravens offense.
SUPER BOWL
In one of the best Super Bowls of all time, I have the Ravens winning in OT against the Eagles. Both Hurts and Lamar will have historic performances, but Lamar will have a clutch drive in OT to win it all.
