NFL Super Bowl Predictions: Does Mahomes Win Again or Can Purdy Stop Him?

The Super Bowl is finally here, and we are in for a good one. After being doubted, Mahomes and the Chiefs plowed through the AFC's toughest teams: the Ravens, Bills, and Dolphins. On the NFC side, the 49ers cut it close in many games, but managed to escape with wins. Who's winning the Super Bowl? Here is my quarter by quarter prediction.

Q1: Chiefs lead 10-3

Chiefs v 49ers Super Bowl Prediction

In the first quarter of the Super Bowl, Mahomes and the Chiefs will jump out to a quick 10-3 lead over the 49ers. Purdy will not look great in the first quarter, and Mahomes will lead a long, sustained drive to end the first. When the 49ers played both the Packers and Lions, they got off to very slow starts. I believe this will happen again in the Super Bowl.

Q2: Chiefs lead 20-10

Chiefs v 49ers Super Bowl Prediction

In the second quarter, I believe we will see more of the same stuff. Mahomes and the Chiefs will be rolling, and Purdy and the 49ers offense will struggle. Fortunately for the 49ers, CMC will punch in a touchdown at the end of the second quarter to make it a 10 point game at halftime.

Q3: Game Tied 23-23

Chiefs v 49ers Super Bowl Prediction

In the third quarter, Purdy and the 49ers offense will finally find their groove and somehow find a way to tie the game up. Mahomes and the Chiefs offense will punch in a field goal, but outside of that, they will be shut down. Going into the 4th quarter, the game will be tied and the 49ers will have the momentum.

Q4: Chiefs Win 33-30

Chiefs v 49ers Super Bowl Prediction

In the final quarter of the season, Mahomes and the Chiefs will mount a game-winning drive to secure the Lombardi Trophy. Purdy will play well in the 4th quarter, but it won't be enough to counter the Chiefs offense. The 49ers will be left heartbroken, while the Chiefs celebrate their hard-earned title.

Who do you have winning the Super Bowl?

  • 49ers

  • Chiefs
