As we approach the midpoint of the NFL season, Super Bowl 58 predictions are heating up. However, numerous uncertainties loom large. Will Tua Tagovailoa manage to stay injury-free? Can the Chiefs rely on their receivers in critical moments? Is Brock Purdy the solution for the 49ers? Are the Eagles emerging as frontrunners in the NFC? Can the Bills finally secure a Super Bowl berth? Will the Bengals be able to bounce back? And could Geno Smith lead the Seahawks all the way to the championship? Following a local football game where I had the chance to meet NFL Analyst Robert Turbin, an alumnus of Irvington High School, I reached out to him via Instagram. Here is his bold prediction for Super Bowl 58.
What's the pick?
NFL Analyst Robert Turbin says his prediction for Super Bowl 58 is an Eagles-Chiefs rematch.
The Key for Each Team to Make It Back
The key for the Kansas City Chiefs to make it back to the Super Bowl is honestly going to be the wide receivers. If Toney, Rice, and Moore are able to stay consistent, Mahomes will find a way to lead the Chiefs back. But, in my opinion, none of their current WR's will be consistent enough for high level playoff football. This is why I think the Chiefs should trade for WR DeAndre Hopkins. They should be able to get him for an affordable price, and this will open up lots for Mahomes.
On the Eagles side of things, there are a lot more questions. Jalen Hurts struggled against a tough Jets defense, and he is going to need to figure out how to limit the turnovers if this team wants to get back to the Super Bowl. But, being the player that he is, I expect him to fix this issue very soon and lead the Eagles to the #1 seed. On the defensive side of things, I don't really have any complaints. If they can limit the injuries, this defense should be able to compete with some very elite offenses.
Who is your pick for Super Bowl 58?
Chiefs
Eagles
49ers
Bills
